Brown Estate. A Black-Owned Winery and I hope the first of many such additions to the collection.

Upon beginning my research into Black Wine Professionals and Black-Owned wineries, Brown Estate was a winery that immediately jumped out. It has a long time well-established reputation in Napa and I heard nothing but LOVELY things about the family. My best friend was elated when I told her I had tried the wines and was bringing them into “My Cellar” because she was one of the original owners of Carpe Diem in Napa and had the Brown Estate Zinfandel on her wine list since Day 1.

Brown Estate is known for their Zinfandel and its stunning quality, and the Chaos Theory Red is no exception. Think: Passion fruit, persimmon, guava… Medium-bodied and plush on the palate. It’s got very well-balanced acid, smooth tannins, and a lingering finish.
