ONX specializes in Rhone-ish reds blends crafted from their estate vineyards in the Templeton Gap, one of the cooler, windier subregions of Paso Robles. The Reckoning is a Syrah based blend with the usual suspects of Grenache and Mourvèdre, but also some Malbec, Petite Sirah, and a touch of Viognier. This bold, mouth-filling wine is full of dark fruit, peppery spice, and potpourri. It’s a great wine to pair with whatever you’re grilling on a summer afternoon.
